Cash deposit for Set Sail Pass

Does Royal Caribbean require a certain amount for deposit when a passenger is paying cash for onboard expenses? One couple in our group will be paying with cash, and we can't seem to find info on this. Not sure customer service rep gave an adequate answer.

No cash deposit needed. Royal will allow you to charge up to $500 before they ask it to be paid down.

We have paid cash before for kids cabins..we went to quest services once on board and gave them cash ahead of time..kids stayed within their budget :)

RCI allows about $200-500 before asking for any money.
