San Juan beach/snorkel

There is so-so snorkeling at Playa Escambron (out around the fringing reef). Also so-so snorkeling at Playita de Condado (at the east end of Dos Hermanos bridge in Condado).

For "good" snorkeling you need to get off of the big island.

Great thanks. Do u know which is closer to the dock or any other reason to prefer one over the other ?

I walked to Playa Escambron from the downtown pier and had a great time swimming at this beach. There is a snack bar that served food and drinks but no chair rentals.

I did not snorkel but some locals where snorkeling near the rocks.:)
