GuavaTechAngels Posted September 24, 2015 #1 Share Posted September 24, 2015 (edited) Would Royal Caribbean open the ocean view Balcony partitions for staterooms that are next to each other? We are doing a family reunion and will try to get 8 or more staterooms all next to each other. We thought how cool it would be to open up all of our balcony partitions and have one long balcony! Do you think Royal Caribbean would allow this? Edited September 24, 2015 by GuavaTechAngels

Do you think Royal Caribbean would allow this? They typically allow it, however you should know that more than half the ships have partitions than cannot physically open. You may also have a problem with a partition that is at the boundary of a fire zone. Edited September 24, 2015 by clarea
cb at sea Posted September 24, 2015 #3 Share Posted September 24, 2015 ON Oasis/Allure, they do open...not ALL of them, but most. It's a doorway, tho...not a total opening. On Radiance, Voyager and older ships, the dividers do NOT open. Some ships are physically able to open, but there;''s no way to secure it, so they don't allow it. Which ship will you be on? JerseyGem Posted September 24, 2015 #4 Share Posted September 24, 2015 Just returned from LOS, deck 7. Our cabin steward opened the divider between our balcony and our daughter's balcony. The divider opens only half way (the outer half slides back along the inner half). This made a great area for our granddaughter to explore. This AM, as we were getting ready to disembark, a crew member came along the balconies and opened all of the dividers so that they could hose off the walls- interesting to look down the whole length of the ship. PinkLemonade Posted September 24, 2015 #5 Share Posted September 24, 2015 I was on Independence last week and I asked our stateroom attendant to open the balcony divider because my family members were in the next room. Stateroom attendant said he had to ask his supervisor and returned 20 minutes later with the key to open it!
