Earliest time porters available for luggage drop off?

Title pretty much says it all. We are arriving early morning (New Orleans), would like to drop our luggage and go to Harrah's for breakfast and some slot play before we check in. Are porters typically available as early as 8am? 9am?

We usually get to ports at 9 and the porters are always there.

8 am seems rather early to me to export porters starting to take baggage

Most porters will be bringing people off the ship at the 8 oclock hour not to say they wont take your luggage. We always go early arriving around 9 and they was several working the early arrivals.

Porters are available as soon as the prior voyage begins debarkation.

Thanks for all the quick assistance! Even if we are on time, we'd likely arrive about 8:30am so we'll go ahead as planned, hoping porters are immediately available so we can drop bags and have cab take us directly to Harrah's.

Why do you plan to get there so early? Don't you do a lot of waiting? Even as platinum, I don't think we've ever boarded before noon.

When I sailed out of NOLA last year with a large group of friends, we arrived at the port just before 8:30 a.m., and left all our bags with the porters - no problems. We explored NOLA and had the BEST time. Didn't get back to the ship until 3:00 p.m., - which is waaaaay beyond my boarding-comfort zone. However, there were no lines at all - we walked right on. It was FANtastic!
