Any suggestions for Athens Hotels pre-cruise?

Love the Athens Hilton. Don't miss the rooftop restaurant with views of the Acropolis.

We like the Hotel Titania...great for walking to Plaka etc...good view of the Acropolis from rooftop . Get a room away from street side though!

Athenaeum Intercontinental. Far from the street and scooter noise. Free 3 minute shuttle to Syntagma Square.

I just came from a trip to Athens,and I would say the Royal Olympic Hotel hands down as far as location,and rooms.It is under renovation however,but we did not find it to be a problem at all,and would stay there again in a heartbeat.the renovation should be completed within a month,and it will then be beautiful.We thought the rates were reasonable as well,and founfd the location better than the IC or the Hilton.It is located right across from the ruins of The Temple of Zeus.
