Just gone into my booking and it still states sofa as room description.

What category/ship?

I imagine that whatever database the information is pulling from is the same for the website vs. what the agents are looking at. So 9/10 I would think their information for room info is the same as what we can see.

Since it looks like the website as been updated, perhaps your booking is still pulling from an outdated place. I think this happens a lot. Not a good thing but good to know it happens.

Sailing in 3 weeks on the Anthem. I'm going to give them a call again today and see what they say.

I bet they've had many complaints when they are miss selling cabins and I will be another that will complain.

When we booked we asked then regarding the sofa, we would of booked a different categorie otherwise, we've called and email twice in the last few months to confirm and have written proof. I'm expecting a chair but still we should get what's advertised.

I TOTALLY agree that you should get what's advertised and they need to change it if it's not correct. But.... And I'm really asking, not flaming--what is the point of "written proof". If you get on the ship and it's changed to a chair because a sofa doesn't fit, what is the point of written proof-- are you going to insist that they bring you a sofa?

The only thing I can see is that you are going to expect a credit-- is this really all worth haggling on your vacation when you are fully EXPECTING the chair?

If I don't get what I've paid for then yes I would expect to be compensated, obviously I would expect them to bring me a sofa! I certainly won't be losing any of my time on board complaint I'm not that sort of person to waste my time. I would however make a complaint on my return.

I've spoken to RC this morning and am now waiting on them getting back to me.

We are indeed. We booked an inside for the first time as last year we did a 2 week TA and there was no point in having a balcony in my opinion until we got to the Caribbean. I only considered it due to the virtual balcony. Few days on land then on the celebrity eclipse for some sunshine down in the Caribbean.

Sounds like a great vacation! Before I booked Anthem, we were deciding between Anthem and Celebrity S class to the Caribbean a little earlier in the year next year. I read up a lot of people who cruise RCI and try Celebrity and vice versa and it seems most people like what they know. Not saying I would't like it, but it seemed better to just stick with RCI and now I get to try the new ship I've been dying to try. I'm not a huge fan of sailing in the Atlantic, so as you said virtual balcony is fine.

I just wish they had accurate pictures and descriptions.
