zgoofy1 Posted October 6, 2015 #1 Share Posted October 6, 2015 Am flying in to EWR-Newark on Thursday morning for a cruise on Liberty of the Seas. Other than taxis, are there other/better transportation optios to the port? Also, anybody know the cost of cabfare from the airport to the dock? Thank you and Happy Cruising! Rare Scrapnana Posted October 6, 2015 #4 Share Posted October 6, 2015 (edited) Welcome to Cruise Critic! I do believe that we are on the same cruise (9 days Canada /New England). There are five of us flying in the day before. We have reserved Carmel Limo to pick us up at the hotel and take us to the pier (with five we thought this was easier than getting two taxis). There is likely a bus pickup from the airport by RCI but it may be too late to book that. From what I have read, although the airport and cruise port are not far apart it is not cheap to get from one to the other. You might want to get to know us - come on over to our roll call. http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2038392 Edited October 6, 2015 by Scrapnana
138east Posted October 6, 2015 #5 Share Posted October 6, 2015 Expect to pay $55-65 to Cape Liberty. For a car service quote, try Dial7 or Carmellimo. They have online coupons if you search.
busyone Posted October 12, 2015 #6 Share Posted October 12, 2015 We just returned from a trip in New York and used Dial 7. They gave us excellent service. The driver picked us up within 10 minutes of my call from baggage, and with the online coupon, it was about the same price as using a cab. We were very pleased.
