Can't Find Freedom Cruise on Other Travel Sites

Recommended Posts

I am so frustrated with trying to find available cabins on the "new and improved" RCCL site. I decided to use a couple of other on-line travel sites to find possible cabins before I try to book on RCCL. I'm interested in the Freedom departing May 1, 2016, but it only shows on the RCCL site. Any ideas as to why no one else lists it?

Or - has anyone else figured out how to see all available cabins on the RCCL site?

Royal's site never did show all available staterooms. I believe they limited it to about 15 per category. You can try the UK site which shows many more available staterooms: http://www.royalcaribbean.co.uk.

Bob - I know they never showed all of the available staterooms, but (unless I'm doing something wrong) they only show ONE - the one they choose for you.

Thanks for the link to to the UK site - don't understand why they get a capability that they took away from us!

Under the room they picked for you it says Veiw or Change Location press that and 15 available cabins will drop down.

OK - I see that now - but how do you tell it which category you want within a group? For example, what if I want to see "L" interiors and it only shows me "Qs".

That's the part that is missing from the new web site. The only way people have found to display a specific category is to find one available in that category (by going to a different web site) and enter that stateroom number. Then it will show you more in that category.

I know, this is crazy, but in the bizarro IT world of Royal, it's normal.

I don't know how to adequately describe it, but if you keep clicking on things, eventually you get to the other categories of interiors.

Thanks, everybody! I don't understand why they make it so hard.

For those who asked where that date doesn't show...In the choices under "Find a Cruise" above, for one. Also a couple of the major travel (not cruise-specific) sites we all know about. I have since found a couple of others (cruise-specific) where the May 1 cruise does show up. I guess I'll use those or the UK site to find cabins and then book with RCCL from now on. Or maybe it's time to consider using a TA....

I don't know if I'd use a TA. I did for the first time a couple of weeks ago. The cruise dropped $140 a day and a half later. I called RCCL and was told they couldn't help me, the TA had to call. Called the TA and was told they couldn't do anything because I had made final payment. Out $140, had I booked directly through RCCL I would of qualified for their 48 hour guarantee - live and learn.

Your TA was wrong...it does not matter if final payment was made IF the price dropped within 48 hours of booking.

They could had called RCCL and gotten you OBC( 110% of the price difference on the cruise fare)

You could have used Royal's website to take advantage of the 48 hour guarantee, independently of your travel agent:
