I am cruising on the NCL Gem next month, and i want to play bingo on the sea days at sea...can someone tell me how the bingo works.... Can you buy per card to play bingo, or is it mandatory to buy a package? And how much do they charge...

Would appreciate it very much if someone can get back to me, regarding this....

Thank You Very Much.....

Lots of options for bingo but beware, they all cost a lot and the prizes are VERY small. NCL keeps something like 80%-90% of the cash pool.

The casino is also a low payout but at least you have a slightly better chance to win something.

There is a reason NCL constantly promotes bingo, it's a huge money maker for them.

THIS!

When on an Epic cruise I happened to see paperwork that was haphazardly left on a table while the Bingo sales were in process. I studied it for a minute and was quite surprised to see that at that time NCL was keeping 69-71% of the ticket sales.

This makes BINGO on NCL the worst bet you could ever place.

You could of course take the position that you are paying for entertainment. Really bad, pathetic attempt at jokes filled entertainment.

I was on the Gem last week and the prices for regular bingo were $29.99 (may have been $39.00), $49.99 and $69.99. They are packages. The smallest package is 9 cards for 3 games. The packages come with raffle tickets for a chance at a free cruise, and those strip pull lottery style tickets that the biggest prize won was $1.00. They had 2 games during the week of $10.00 Bingo where you could buy a single card for $10.00 or a 3 pack game card for $20.00. I estimated NCL's take for each game was around $5,000.00 based on 200 people in the Stardust lounge averaging $30.00 purchase. The payouts were in the mid $300.00 range. I played once a 3 card game for $20.00, didn't win. I did better on the penny slots in the casino. We did a group slot pull and didn't win anything.

We played bingo a lot on our last NCL cruise. It was so much fun! I recommend that you buy only one ticket per person because using more than one was too much. We went with the others in the family several times to get the larger package. We had two winners in the family. For is it was about entertainment, not winning. That was a bonus!

I was on the Gem two weeks ago. Bingo packages were $39, $49 and $69. We did not play Bingo, but we did play Deal or No Deal for $20 (two games). I didn't win anything, but my friend had three matches and won a free photo.

Hi i never played Deal or no Deal...can you explain to me how you play? and you did say that it was $20 for two games? I am just trying to figure out what i want to do when i cruise next month, as we do have three sea days before we hit our first port of call....

Deal or No Deal was $20 for one card, but you got to play two games with that one card. It is kind of hard to explain here, but it is very easy. Someone from the audience is chosen to play and then you watch your card to see if you match the choices that person is making. Your key card is scanned (to pay for the card) and is linked to your Deal or No Deal card, so if you win something, there is a record of it. It was fun and like I said, my friend had three matches and won a photo, which would have cost her $24.95, so she was money ahead.

Keep in mind with Deal or No Deal the system is not random. The computer sets the results. A decent payout will occur only when the programmer allows it.

It's computer generated or "random". With either bingo or deal or no deal it's for entertainment. No big payout should be expected. The first time we played someone won $2,000. The next time $200.

It's entertainment and gambling. If the house is keeping 80%-90% of the take, then the gambling part really doesn't apply. It's what is known as a 'bad bet'. If you are ok with that, great, but most don't know it.
