New to Norwegian

Hello,

I've sailed Carnival 3x and RCCL twice. We are looking at the Breakaway to Bermuda next October.

Freestyle dining is obviously new to us.

Is there an MDR? And no formal night? (We don't participate in formal night so we love that if it's true) How many places can we choose to eat at besides specialty restaurants? No set times?

Thanks in advance. I'm ready to Cruise like a Norwegian!

There is 3 MDRs on the Breakway. No format night, no set meal times, no forced table sharing.

The MDR works just like a restaurant on land , walk up and ask for a table for 2 anytime during their opening hours.

There is Norwegians Night Out- dress up or not (your choice). Although you will see people dressed every night (they are the minority)

On the Breakaway there are for free:

3 main dining rooms: Taste and Savor - are the same, plus the Manhattan room (fancier) with music and dancing (basically the same menu as the other ones)

The buffet (good for breakfast and lunch) and the uptown grill (great burgers)

O'Sheehans- pub style food and bar

Noodle bar.

All great places-tons of food all day

Safe sailing

Thank you all! Sounds pretty awesome!

It is awesome. If you want to dress up, any night is a formal night. If you want to be resort casual (any long pants, any shoes, collared shirt for guys) you are welcome in any restaurant. Dockers and sneakers all sit next to suits and ties.

Specialty restaurants (for fee), Cirque, dining do require reservations. Hard to walk in during peak dining hours.

Have fun. We did BA Bermuda last year and had a great time.
