Just back from a So.Caribbean cruise with a stop at Curaçao and the Queen Emna (walking) floating bridge is gone. They hope to have a new one completed Jan/Feb. currently a ferry is running in its place. It is a further walk going past the area of the floating bridge and ferry runs every 30 minutes taking tourists and locals into town.

Thanks for the update. I thought for a minute that they had some tragic event that took out the bridge....but no. We aren't scheduled to get back to Curacao anytime soon so when we do it will be nice to see the new bridge.

Someone on my roll call just posted the bridge will be open by the end of this week. It's on our itinerary and last time we were in Curacao in Feb, we didn't have time to go after our excursion so we were looking forward to exploring and walking across.

Also, FYI, the ferry runs every few minutes, not every 30. It only takes about 2 minutes to cross.
