momoftwinteens Posted October 27, 2015 #1 Share Posted October 27, 2015 Does anyone have any inside knowledge as to how long these cruises will be offered? I would love to take one but, due to my daughter's upcoming marriage next Summer, I would have to put it off for a few months. I am currently looking at the cruise on the Pride in Feb 2017 but, even that one is really too soon, given when the cruise has to be paid for. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance. ready2cruzagain Posted October 27, 2015 #2 Share Posted October 27, 2015 Carnival has not stated if they will continue these cruises yet. Would be nice if they did and if they are as great as they are suppose to be. I will find out in January.:D If anyone states they have an inside scoop.
Rare Honolulu Blue Posted October 28, 2015 #3 Share Posted October 28, 2015 I don't have any insider knowledge, so take what I say with a grain of salt. Carnival will always have repositioning cruises where they move their ships all over the world. Those are naturals for longer cruises. I think they're likely to continue having long one-way trips to/from Hawaii and to/from San Juan, though your guess is as good as mine about when, where, and what ship will have them. As for whether the "Journeys" label and perks will continue into 2017, it seems likely. The first trips seemed to get good reviews, and they will continue to refine things. DaytonCruiser Posted October 28, 2015 #4 Share Posted October 28, 2015 (edited) They will probably end up cutting the number of one way journey cruises. Carnival has had to slash prices and use casino rates to fill them. The round trips seem to be going up in price,so they might end up increasing those with the next schedule. It will also depend on the onboard revenue. Some may not spend as much per day as on shorter cruises. It is great they are offering longer cruises that include ports that are not usually called on by carnival. Time will tell.
