Biker19 Posted October 29, 2015 #2 Share Posted October 29, 2015 (edited) The day of the week has nothing to do with it and it's usually on a sea day. It depends on the specifics of that sailing - if you post that, someone who's done that itinerary can tell you which days the formal nights are held. jacketwatch Posted October 29, 2015 #4 Share Posted October 29, 2015 They are usually on sea days and on the oasis earlier this month the 1st one was on a Sunday actually and the second was I think on Thursday.
Biker19 Posted October 29, 2015 #5 Share Posted October 29, 2015 If I had to guess, the formal nights on that sailing would be the 23rd and 28th.
Itsbeentoolong Posted October 29, 2015 Author #6 Share Posted October 29, 2015 That would be perfect, would it be worth trying to contact Royal Caribbean or would they not even know yet? Thanks
Ken at the beach Posted October 29, 2015 #7 Share Posted October 29, 2015 I'm not sure if they deviate from this but everything that I have read has always been that the first formal night is on night 2. The second formal night tends to go with a sea day if there is one towards the end of the cruise.
Biker19 Posted October 29, 2015 #8 Share Posted October 29, 2015 That would be perfect, would it be worth trying to contact Royal Caribbean or would they not even know yet? Thanks They should know but I'd trust someone here on CC who's been on such a sailing more.

papaflamingo Posted October 29, 2015 #10 Share Posted October 29, 2015 I think you can be pretty confident on the 23rd and 28th. Since the 23rd is the first at sea day, it is almost a guarantee. It won't be the 22nd as the ship is in port until 9 pm. As for the 28th, they seem to try to do Formal Night on the first at sea day and one at the end of the cruise. Since the at sea day is the night before debarkation they will most likely have Formal Night on the night before. Since the ship leaves at 5 pm, this is likely the night. I'd go ahead and make the spa reservations based on that if they are changeable or cancellable. Then you can adjust them when you get on board if need be.
