With Faster to the Fun and if you carry your own luggage off the ship you can be off by about 8:30AM. We have been the first people off the ship the last 2 times we have cruised.

IF you let us know what you are trying to do we can help you plan better.

I was not able to get Faster to the Fun. We have a 12:30 flight from LAX, so need to get off as soon as possible. We can't to self assist. I want to arrange for a van to pick us up, so wanted to see when passengers started to get off after self assist, and diamond, and faster to the fun. Thanks,

You'll be cutting it close. Recommended time for LAX is 1pm.

Take a taxi or arrange a private car. Flat rate is $68+tip. Lots available in the parking structure.

A shared van will probably have to stop at multiple terminals. A taxi can take shortcuts thru the LAX horseshoe. If you're in Terminal 4 or 5 prepare for a wait. Several times it's taken us 45 minutes to get to the top of the horseshoe.

Sometimes traffic cooperates, most of the time it doesn't.

The van will come and wait for you. You don't have to give them an exact time. There will also be taxis waiting at the port which could take you to the airport too.

I'd tell the van to be there by 9AM the latest(maybe tell them 8:30 just to make sure they are there.)

If you have the time (not sailing within a week or two), you can go on ebay and purchase a Carnival Priority #1 Debarkation luggage tag (Blue tag). I have purchased these before and used them with no trouble. Put the debarkation tag on your luggage the night before and leave your bags outside your cabin. We walked off the ship first thing in the morning with the Platinum, Diamond, and F2F passengers and our bags were in the Customs pick up area waiting for us. Good luck.

We just got off the Miracle (Thanksgiving Cruise) and everyone in our group used the #1 Priority tags for our luggage. We were tied up dockside in Long Beach by 6 or 6:30AM on our last day. We had to get home and had transportation waiting for us at 8:30AM.

The Debarkation process is VERY SLOW in Long Beach. Carnival did not announce that Diamond, Platinum's, and Priority #1 luggage tags could get off the ship early in the morning. Instead, they called all the self assist passengers (those who carried their own luggage on board) by deck to get off first. We heard that they then proceeded to call the luggage tag numbers, which was around 10:30 or 11:00 AM.

Fortunately, we knew better than to wait and got off at 8:30 as planned. Otherwise, we would have had to wait until 10:30 or 11 AM to get off the ship.

The process through US Customs was fast and we had our bags and were on our way by 8:50AM.

So if you do use the Priority #1 luggage tags, feel free to walk off the ship any time that suits you. Your bags will be in the pick up area and you'll be allowed off the ship regardless of what group is disembarking.

We just disembarked from the Inspiration in Long Beach last Friday. We had FTTF and because we were zone 1 decided to check one bag off the ship. Big mistake as they disembarked all people carrying their luggage off first calling them one deck at a time. They were not calling Zone 1 so we got in line but were removed by the people right before checking off the ship. We were told the luggage had not even started to be taken off the ship and it was after 8:30AM. We were told to sit in these chairs and they would advise us when we could get off and that it would probably be another hour. They told us that even though we had zone 1 we could not disembark until ALL luggage was off the ship. Finally we saw an officer come by and it was after 9am. We told her we were extremely upset and had a flight to get so she let us disembark. We went thru customs and we told our luggage was not ready but as we walked down further we could see a section with zone 1-4 and the luggage was there. So much for having zone 1...If you need to be off before 930am carry your own luggage.

No need to buy them, just go to GS during the cruise and tell them you have an early flight. They will give you #1 zone tags.

Don't tell them you are zone one, just tell them you are self debarking.
