From the poll I did in May 2013:

View Poll Results: A quality Cruise is all I need to Cruise again with Celebrity.

YES 235 86.72%

NO 36 13.28%

Voters: 271.

So the vast majority here on CC seem to agree with your last sentence.

Our first Capt Club perk in 1994, were Captain Club luggage tags, we still use them, the lapel pin, and a coupon for $50 off on a cabin, not per person!

I'm with Ma Bell, give me a quality on board product.

EW

Only problem is the quality, at least on the cruises we have been taking, has been decling. So the perks have a lot to do with us coming back.

Not to mention that we all sailed for many years without any Captain's Club benefits at all. I don't understand the green-eyed monster mentality. I'm happy for all who make it one way or the other. Loyalty benefits are just frosting on the cake. What Celebrity needs to concentrate is making sure the cake is great.

But if Celebrity did not need to feed the "green-eyed monster mentality" maybe, just maybe they could go back to baking a great cake again.

I am fine with the perks we receive. I would gladly forego them adding or enhancing the loyalty program if they would go back to the "X"cellent food and service they had in the past.

Either that or they will have to start giving away free drinks for 3 1/2 hours every day like RCCL so maybe you don't care that your dinner in the MDR is not even as good at Outback, Applebee's or Olive Garden.

Really? lol Loyalty programs have something to do with jealousy and that's the reason MDR food and service is poorer than in 2011? :D

I agree with cruisingchick. Give me the same level of service and food that we got in 2011 and you can have your points back. Maybe the focus on the loyalty is people are trying to get what the value they used to feel their investment purchased.

Exactly what I have been saying for years, and the 2013 poll bore out.

Keep the perks, give us a quality time on ship.

We are on the same page here.

Yep.

Once can get Zenith with just 6 14 night cruises in a RS as a solo traveler.

18 pts x 14 nights x double solo points x 6 cruises = 3024 points.

This could be done in 3 years just with a TA in spring, one in fall, and maybe add a short crusie somewhere to cover for a short TA if needed.

Do you not only get 12 points a night in an RS. I thought the 18 nights was fir PH or the Reflection suite.

If I am wrong I want more point for my. Last cruise!!!

You are right - it is 12 points per night in a RS.

So it will take you 9 (instead of 6) 14 night cruises to reach Zenith in a RS, you poor thing. ;)

12 pts x 14 nights x double solo points x 9 cruises = 3024 points.

I am sure you can well imagine how much sympathy you will get here from the rest of the passengers who book lesser cabins and will never make Zenith at all. :D

If everyone would contribute to my cruise fund, I could make Zenith in no time. I would give everyone the details after I got to the peak. Vicarious living is the way to go. :D I'm guessing Andy might not be a contributor.
