graphicgal Posted November 5, 2015 #1 Share Posted November 5, 2015 Is there a price difference between an Internet plan (purchase on board) and just paying for minutes as you use them at the Internet Cafe?
fishywood Posted November 5, 2015 #2 Share Posted November 5, 2015 (edited) Pay as you go is $0.75/min The package cost on board is: 100 min for $69 200 min for $99 400 min for $159 600 min for $199 You are charged a one-time $3.95 activation fee the first time you log on. There may also be a small package sold the last day of your cruise (such as 20 min for $8) Edited November 5, 2015 by fishywood
diane.in.ny Posted November 5, 2015 #3 Share Posted November 5, 2015 You might also find there is a promo if you buy the first day, giving you an additional 15 minutes. Depending on how long your cruise is and how often you like to get online, it is probably worth buying a package. On the other hand, where are you going? For instance, on a cruise to the Far East, all of the terminals had free wi fi. You might also be able to get free wi fi at a café for the price of a cup of coffee. moki'smommy Posted November 5, 2015 #6 Share Posted November 5, 2015 Most of the Caribbean ports also have free or minimal cost wifi available. It is easy to check locations on line before you leave home and make a few notes. Examples: St. Thomas--Asian restaurant, free with meal purchase or $3 for all day use. Walk toward the cable car entrance and you'll see the restaurant. Lots of bars have it also. Cozumel--Starbucks right at the pier. Code on the bottom of your receipt. St. Maarten--Hard Rock Cafe among other locations St. Croix--gift shop in Budget Car rental place. They say 15 minutes free, but let us stay on as long as daughter wanted to as no one else was there.
