azrose Posted November 13, 2015 #1 Share Posted November 13, 2015 I looked around and didn't see this.... If I use my FCC on a cruise that has a "non-refundable" deposit and then find that I can't take the cruise (work is shaky right now) - will i get my FCC "returned"? goofy559 Posted November 13, 2015 #2 Share Posted November 13, 2015 No. It's non refundable regardless of the type of deposit. I just used an FCC for a.non-refundable deposit and my TA was very clear that if I didn't take the cruise I'd lose the FCC

Ci just phoned yesterday with that same question. No, non refundable means non refundable.
caribill Posted November 14, 2015 #5 Share Posted November 14, 2015 No. It's non refundable regardless of the type of deposit. But it means you only lose the $100 cost of the FCC, not the normal 15% of the cost of the cruise deposit.

rob2102 Posted November 14, 2015 #7 Share Posted November 14, 2015 FFC are fully refundable. Not sure why but they are. I was forced to cancel the day before our cruise, They gave me back the 200 bucks but kept the other 4800.
bigenna Posted November 14, 2015 #8 Share Posted November 14, 2015 "This offer is fully refundable if cancelled prior to cancellation penalty phase" Small print from bottom of the page posted by Hawka. Rob2102, interesting to know you were lucky enough to get an exception. However, if the promo says non refundable deposit, according to the Princess rep I spoke with, that means ANY deposit, even FCD. Just what I was told when I called this past week. FritzG Posted November 14, 2015 #9 Share Posted November 14, 2015 We had to cancel a cruise due to a health issue with dh. The deposit was non refundable, but Princess insurance covered it. However, we got the $100pp returned; we didn't get our fcc's back. We booked another cruise as soon as he was better, but those had been our last fcc's so we had to put down the full deposit and got no OBC.
