I looked at the dailies, but didn't see the officer's sing a long, photo with the captain, and sign up for dinner with the captain. Do they do these on the Jewel, or did I miss them?

Thanks for posting. This is great. We are on this trip leaving the 31st of January. We are all looking forward to it, even more so now that we can fawn over all the dailies.

 

I'm hearing/reading through the cruise-vine that some of the entertainment may be changing at the end of the year including some of the main shows.

 

As far as the kids program, we all know Nickelodeon is going away but wondering if the activities will be the same without the Nick name/Characters on everything.

I read that on another post too and REALLY hope they aren't changing the Cirque or Russians! Or maybe it wont be right on January 1 ... We're on the January 10 sailing.

As far as the kids program, we all know Nickelodeon is going away but wondering if the activities will be the same without the Nick name/Characters on everything.

The Nickelodeon program is completely separate from the Splash Academy youth clubs, with different staff. Nick events were in public areas around the ship at advertised times and if your child wanted to attend, the parent had to sign them out of the youth club and accompany them to, and stay with them, at the Nickelodeon events.

 

Apart from one unscheduled and unadvertised visitfrom Sponge Bob to the youth club one afternoon, the events and activities are separate and not Nickelodeon themed. Youth club was great, safe, and they ( 6-9 yr olds at least) had pj parties, carnival night, hollywood night, pirate night, games, arts and crafts.
