Tauranga to Rotorua?

I am looking for advice on getting from Tauranga port to the Polynesian Spa in Rotorua. I do not want to do an excursion that includes other sightseeing. Just looking for transportation between the port and town of Rotorua.

beachmama, this Polynesian Spa link suggests a car rental or public transportation, and there is also a link to directly book a service (Shore Trips & Tours) that will take you to the spa via shuttle (from $99pp), car (from $125), or private limo (from $600). A rental car is the way to go. But keep in mind they do drive on the left.
