ABCruiser Posted November 27, 2015 #1 Share Posted November 27, 2015 Does anyone know if there's a left luggage at the port? We are doing a TA and planning on spending a couple of days in Rome before embarking on our 2nd cruise. It would be so much easier to leave a couple of luggage behind instead of dragging into Rome. euro cruiser Posted November 27, 2015 #2 Share Posted November 27, 2015 Yes, there is. More info here: http://www.cilpcv.it/bagagli.php
ABCruiser Posted November 27, 2015 Author #3 Share Posted November 27, 2015 I found that site but it's in italian...I have even emailed them but no reply. Have you used this storage? Is it at the terminal?
Rare cruisemom42 Posted November 27, 2015 #4 Share Posted November 27, 2015 You can translate text from any language by using a translation tool like Google translate. Just copy the text and paste it into the box, then pick what languages to translate to/from. https://translate.google.com/ Regarding your question, from looking at the map, it appears the luggage storage is not right at the port but is at least a few blocks away. This means you would need to take the port shuttle with your luggage to the drop off (outside the new port entrance) and then walk with it to the luggage drop. Rare Hlitner Posted November 27, 2015 #5 Share Posted November 27, 2015 Too bad they do not have a map of that luggage drop location. Since its relatively new we have not seen the place. But an educated guess would have it somewhere near the terminal area for European ferries. We hope that if anyone ever uses the site they post detailed info here. Since there is no specific terminal building for cruise ships (most use partial tent structures located at each individual pier). Hank

euro cruiser Posted November 27, 2015 #7 Share Posted November 27, 2015 I'm not entirely sure that the address they give (and the map location) is where they store the bags, I think it may be the office. Since none of us (so far) have used it we'll have to wait until they respond to the OP's e-mail. It's typical in my experience for Italian businesses to allow days to pass before they respond to e-mail.
Rare Hlitner Posted November 27, 2015 #8 Share Posted November 27, 2015 (edited) There is a map on the site, you can see it here: http://www.cilpcv.it/contatti.php But that map makes little sense. The description for the luggage storage facility says it is "inside the port" near the "Highways for the Sea Terminal." But the map you link shows an area many blocks from the actual port and shows the location of the Administration Building. Well......it's Italy. :D As euro cruiser suggests, perhaps that is an office.
halseasons Posted July 19, 2016 #10 Share Posted July 19, 2016 Did you find and use the left luggage storage at the port? Where is it exactly? What do they charge?
