We have a little more than a week before boarding our first NCL cruise and decided that we are going to pack lite on this trip. Questions are 1) how formal or informal is the ship during the evenings? Are jeans or shorts allowed in the dining rooms? 2) Are the any formal nights requiring suits for men and dresses for the ladies? 3) I think I read somewhere about a white clothing party, does such an event exist ? 🛳

Men are required to wear long pants and a collared shirt in the Tropicana main dining room, Le Bisteo, and Ocean Blue. All other venues are resort casual. Freestyle cruising allows you to dress up or not. There will photographers out with backdrops most nights if you want to dress up. Many folks make an effort to dress up a little (not suits) at night.

No White Hot Party on this ship. Instead there is a glow party, so if you have something neon, bring it.

No formal night. Dress up if you want. There will be a small handful of others dressed up.

Shorts welcome everywhere, except as mentioned in above post. Jeans welcome in all dining venues.
