Boytjie Posted November 30, 2015 #26 Share Posted November 30, 2015 (edited) Yeah, I know but it doesn't sound like that is what the poster had in mind. I believe the OP was referring to opening the partitions between the balconies and not the connecting doors between the cabins. I think people are flipping discussion between two different things. I was referring to the poster that felt it's better to open up the connecting door. It's not better in my mind but it may work for others.

Rare richstowe Posted November 30, 2015 #29 Share Posted November 30, 2015 I thought this was going to be a smoking thread. :confused:Me too Same here. IF it was a smoking petition , it would have already gotten real nasty .
wander Posted November 30, 2015 #30 Share Posted November 30, 2015 On my recent Volendam cruise, there was a solid partition wall on one side of the veranda next door to me. On my side there was the "door", on the other side no. Unfortunately their friends were on the other side so they could not have a joint veranda. However, they said that they managed just fine and in fact liked the additional privacy when they were not having pre-dinner cocktails.
Blue Mudshark Posted November 30, 2015 #31 Share Posted November 30, 2015 You can petition the stewards to open the partition.
