Carnival Breeze what's wrong with the 2nd deck?

Anytime I try to book this ship and I mean even TWO years from now balconies are all sold out at the back of the ship and in the middle there is only deck 2 available? Why is this?

Is it possible you are selecting a "Cove Balcony" as you go through the booking process (it is most often the least expensive option, and the first one offered)?

They are on deck 2, midships and forward. Select one of the other balcony types and you should see more options...

This has to be it. Just looked at a random Breeze cruise and they had plenty of balconies available.

I feel that coves are a better balcony than the higher up ones anyway. Bigger balcony, closer to the water (which is really awesome), shade from the lifeboats (more comfortable to be out there), and these are the only balconies on the entire ship that will see water when you look straight down. The rest of the balconies will look down on the deck 5 lanai, which sticks out from the ship & circles the entire ship. I echo Jenhem's advice about not picking one below the galley, as some rooms below the galley experience noise from above. Anything forward of the midship elevators will be fine.
