Priceline what zone in New Orleans

The cruise terminal is in the Warehouse District / Convention center area, but is very close to the edge of the Downtown hotels so either of those would work. The French quarter is also fairly nearby but a longer walk, and certainly close enough to consider if you are taking a cab. Personally I would probably go with the Downtown hotels as they tend to be nicer on average than the ones you find in the warehouse district. This assumes you are flying in as all the downtown hotels only have valet pay by the day parking of around $20 per day or so, a few of the warehouse district accommodation do have self / free park.

You are going to love that hotel. Right on the river, and only a short walk to the terminal right through the riverwalk mall, no taxie needed. Great price also.

I was very excited to win this hotel. Let the long countdown begin [emoji3]

Thank you for your advice. I was able to secure the Hilton Riverside for $75 a night thru price line. Looks like a nice hotel.

What setup did you use to get this? We are cruising out of NOLA in July on the Dream.

The walk to the French Quarter is just as safe/unsafe as a walk in the French Quarter. It's always advisable to stay away from dark empty streets and the worst incidents usually happen from 1 AM to 4 AM when there is no traffic on the streets.
