_beachgirl_ Posted December 2, 2015 #26 Share Posted December 2, 2015 I've always wondered how the decide to seat you as well. On our first cruise we were seated with 3 other young couples and that was great. We ended up meeting up with them for shows and made great friends. Other times we were with couples in their 40's and we felt a bit out of place. The other 2 times, we never ate in the dining room. I too would be interested in not being seated with children for all the reasons already stated in this thread.
Lerin Posted December 2, 2015 #27 Share Posted December 2, 2015 Interesting thread. We travel with young children and would like to be seated with other young families. It has never happened. We've either ended up at a table of our own, or with a family with teens.
SharkCruiser24 Posted December 3, 2015 #28 Share Posted December 3, 2015 No need to fear. Carnival actually tries its best to sit guests with similar guests. When I went with my husband we sat with other couples. When I went with my girlfriends, we were assigned with single guests in their late twenties - early thirties. And I think the time I went on the Sensation with my dad, there was a another parent/child combination at the table but that could have just been a coincidence. Don't worry, you'll have great table mates!! If you're really that stressed though try Anytime Dining and get a table for 2!
