New Venue on Freedom of the Seas

Hi everyone,

 

I recently read that there is a new venue under construction in the promenade on the Freedom of the Seas. Does anyone know what this will be and when it will open? What used to be there? I read that it will either be a new loyalty shop or a Seaview Cafe. Thank you very much.

I'd be very surprised if it's a Seaview Cafe, since Royal has removed those from 3 ships already, and next year the last one goes.

I forgot to ask when I was on Liberty, but the Kung Fu Panda Noodle Shop is supposed to be coming to all Oasis, Freedom and Voyager Class ships by the end of 2016.

We were on Freedom in November and were told that the Next Cruise office was expanding into the Cafe Prominade area (not taking it over) maybe this is what you heard

That is where it is on the Independence (for sure) and Liberty (pretty sure). :)

Just off Freedom last week, there is definitely construction there. The compass referred to visiting the NextCruise desk on "the promenade" even though it was in the elevator lobby on deck 6, so I think it is likely that is what the expansion is going to be.

 

Thumbs down from me, the seating space at the Promenade Café was much more useful than a packed NextCruise area.

Also on Freedom last week. It's the new Next Cruise area. At the C&A event the Captain showed drawings of what the space will look like after it's done.

Standing room only on Freedom last week with 3 "reservation" lists for consultants, wish I had kept up on the changes to the program so I wouldn't have wasted my time waiting for my reservation to be honored.

The construction is the renovation of the Next Cruise office and is due to be completed later today, with the grand opening either tomorrow or Saturday.
