davekathy Posted December 4, 2015 #5 Share Posted December 4, 2015 (edited) thank you! To get to Willemstad you will cross the Queen Emma Bridge. A pontoon bridge. The bridge is hinged and opens regularly to enable the passage of ocean going vessels. Edited December 4, 2015 by davekathy
MADflyer Posted December 4, 2015 #6 Share Posted December 4, 2015 The addition of the complex around the Renaissance hotel was a big improvement for calls at Curacao. While Curacao does plan a new port at Caracasbaai Peninsula, about 3 miles from the current port, it will not be available until 2018 or beyond. RCL is working on a project for port development there that is even more developed than what they did at Falmouth, Jamaica. http://www.cruiseindustrynews.com/cruise-news/12337-curacao-leaning-toward-new-berth.html http://www.505design.com/work/project-types/waterfront-port-development/caracasbaai-peninsula.html
