To get to Willemstad you will cross the Queen Emma Bridge. A pontoon bridge. The bridge is hinged and opens regularly to enable the passage of ocean going vessels.

The addition of the complex around the Renaissance hotel was a big improvement for calls at Curacao.

 

While Curacao does plan a new port at Caracasbaai Peninsula, about 3 miles from the current port, it will not be available until 2018 or beyond.

 

RCL is working on a project for port development there that is even more developed than what they did at Falmouth, Jamaica.
