_beachgirl_ Posted December 10, 2015 #1 Share Posted December 10, 2015 Those blankets look awfully cozy! I've read that you can purchase one to take home. What is the price? I looked at the size of the blanket, and it's a bit wider than a twin size bed. But no where near as long. Do you think it would be comfortable for a 6 foot tall man to use? At just over 5 feet, I know i'm not going to have an issue but I wonder about my husband.
DobberDog Posted December 11, 2015 #2 Share Posted December 11, 2015 (edited) blankets were $23 on my Triumph Thanksgiving cruise a couple weeks ago. They are VERY VERY SOFT and comfy. Dont know the dimensions but they covered me (im 5'4") from my toes to my neck with no issues when i was laying on a lounger on lido deck watching a movie. Not quite large enough to cover myself and my 5 yr old though. My 6 ft 2 in son didnt have any issues with it on our Dream cruise in Jan this year. Beeslilmama Posted December 11, 2015 #3 Share Posted December 11, 2015 I am a blanket collector. I am always cold and I buy blankets all the time if they are cute. Are they ones from the movie special in any way, like do they have the ship name on them or anything?

Unless you really want the blanket as a souvenir, and to use at home, you could do what we (and others) have done. Just bring one of the beach towels from your cabin to use as a blanket. When the movie is over, take it back to your cabin. (If you leave it behind, you'll get charged for it.) ;)

TerReuv Posted December 11, 2015 #7 Share Posted December 11, 2015 No one was offering blankets on our cruise in October on the Conquest. Only popcorn. It would have been nice!

DobberDog Posted December 11, 2015 #9 Share Posted December 11, 2015 Yep. Blanket rentals (free but they swipe your card in case you don't return said blanket) at the towel hut during lido deck movies. They don't advertise they have them. :)
NoDayButToday Posted December 11, 2015 #10 Share Posted December 11, 2015 My husband is 6'2", it's big enough as a lap blanket at home and on the ship on the lounger he was mostly covered with it draped over him, but not exactly something he can curl up under. However for me, it's perfect-but I'm only 5'2". It is the most comfy, soft blanket ever though. It's my favorite blanket we have in our living room. Jenhem31 Posted December 14, 2015 #11 Share Posted December 14, 2015 The blankets are the best! We brought one home from the Breeze for our chihuahua. They were $23 or $24 and our steward left the order form in our room one night.
Rare mitsugirly Posted December 14, 2015 #12 Share Posted December 14, 2015 We used one on the Pride in April (and it was CHILLY outside cruising from Baltimore). We loved it and very soft and warm. :)
dnj1 Posted December 14, 2015 #13 Share Posted December 14, 2015 I knew they could be bought. I did not know they could be rented/ swiped and brought back. That would be great, if that's true. Although, its worth the $23.
poison7fl Posted December 15, 2015 #14 Share Posted December 15, 2015 I'm 6'3" and it's a tad too small, but still usable.. I love the Dive in movies.. we do it almost every night. i just wish they would use popcorn oil to pop the popcorn, instead of vegetable oil... ruins the taste. beachbride91011 Posted December 15, 2015 #15 Share Posted December 15, 2015 We have a large basket in the corner of the family room full of throw blankets. Well, my favorite is the Movie Time blanket and I normally end up losing it to the five year old. But anyway, the blanket is so soft, it is great to curl up with watching a movie at home.
