Does Carnival have the soda cups like Royal's?

As most of you know, when you purchase the beverage package on Royal you get a cup to refill at your leisure. I usually kept this full of ice water or seltzer. Does Carnival do this as well? Or if I want to get a soda (assuming I've purchased Cheers) how does it work? Thanks!

Carnivals program is called "bottomless Bubbles" and it does not include a cup. You get a sticker affixed to your sail and sign card and order the soft drink at any bar. Soft drinks thru the BB program may also be served by bar staff in the MDR or in entertainment venues. You may also get soft drinks through the Cheers program which is what Carnival calls their flat rate alcohol program that allows up to 15 hard drinks and unlimited soft drinks.

A sticker on your card, flash your card (or after a day or two not) and get a drink.

Easy really.

They usually start getting mine before I get to the bar.

I wouldn't want to use the same glass to drink soda in repeatedly anyway . I like getting a clean glass with each soda . The only thing I don't like about the bottomless bubbles card is the service. Although they do charge tips on the card the bar staff and waiters will wait until they have multiple other drink orders before they bring your soda and in the main showroom or Casino you will never get that soda. I've tried giving extra tips but that only works to get better service if you're going to be in that same lounge all evening long such that the same server knows you're a good tipper.

One pet peeve with the bottomless bubbles is that you have to sign for every drink.

Gets a little annoying after a while.

As for the cup, go to 5 below and get a really different insulated cup in stead of the carnival cup.

Not necessarily. By day 3 of our last 7 day cruise, my son almost never had to sign for his sodas anymore.

I absolutely hate having to sign for every cup as well. I have always wondered why they do this since the other cruise line I sail with doesn't make you sign unless it's alcohol.

Funny thing....on my last cruise a week ago (on RCCL), by day 4, my wife wasn't even signing for alcohol anymore. It was really nice for her.

The soda on carnival is from a can. I was on a 7 day cruise recently with bottomless bubbles and I had to sign for each and every soda and I drink a lot. It was a pain! I loved our cruise but I sure wish they'd get the self serve fountain machines.

Carnival doesn't have soda fountains like Royal Caribbean does. So with Carnival there is no self serve fountain. I did like the convenience of the self serve fountain on RCCL, but do like that all soda is out of a can on Carnival.

I'd much rather a can than out of any machine.
