Can anyone tell me if the iconcierge app works on the Escape? I am particularly interested in the messaging feature.

Yes. iConcierge works on the Escape. Messaging and phone-to-phone service is charge per device.

It's a one time charge of $7.95 per person. It works great, we just got off the Escape on Saturday and had no issues with the app. I highly recommend it. You can also look at the dailies, dinning menus, port excursions, etc.

You can download the app to your phone right now, if you want. You can pay & activate it when you are on the boat, or else while sitting in the terminal waiting to board after checking in, which is what we always do. We kill time in the terminal fiddling around with the messaging feature.

No, the MDR menu isn't on there.

As stated above, around $8. The app is free, but you pay the fee if you want to message people onboard.

That's awesome! They were not there on any of our 3 iConcierge cruises, including the one on Escape. That's great if they now update those daily.

You don't have to pay to see specialty menus, so we can assume you wouldn't have to pay to see the MDR menus.

No, the app is free to download. Paying the $7.95 to activate it can only be done via your shipboard account.
