Here are the U Tube videos of Pepper the Humanoid robot . The cost in USD is $1600 . It would be a emotional type companion as it presently can not lift any thing .

 

The future surely will develop humanoid robots that can lift & still be a emotional companion ;but ,at a higher cost ;)
