Hi:

We will be in Aruba early in Feb 2016. I am recovering from Knee surgery and water exercise is really the best for me (I walk in the water and do exercises). I am looking for a beach with little if any "step down" going into the water AND fairly calm water. Is their a beach like that?

Thx

Beaches are hardly ever rough in Aruba.....that's why folks don't surf..there is very little wave action, unless there's some huge storm out there!

The waves on Eagle Beach often get surprisingly large from time to time, for no apparent reason. One day it is nice and calm, the next day the waves are big. There is often a drop off when you get in at many places along Eagle Beach. We stay on Eagle Beach every year. You definitely need to go to Palm Beach.

Of course conditions will be up to the weather/wave action for the day that you're in port.

As suggested above, Baby Beach would be one's safest bet, as it is located in a protected cove. It's namesake is due to the fact that it's a perfect spot to bring small children to swim. The water there is very shallow.
