That's a straight pass through to the guest. That's what port charges are. The cruise line isn't making or losing money there.

 

Actually, they could, tho rare. If the port charges go up after the booking, RCI eats that increase.

sometimes I'd think children would cost the cruise line more than an adult might. such as, they might eat less but take more time and make a bigger mess. I remember somebody complaining that they had to pay fare or gratuities for a baby, assuming that the baby should travel for free due to age, when there would be the necessity for the stateroom steward to empty the diaper genie among other things.

You pay the same cabin rate for a baby as you would an adult. Both adults and kids can be equally messy or tidy. :)

Actually, he has many long-time fans....and I am one. I'm sure he knew all the answers to the muse before anyone replied:D. Right?
