Head back to the ship and enjoy the "quiet" time.

Seriously, if you are not carting your own snorkel gear, and don't wish to wander around the Tourism Village, head outside the gates and get a city tour in either a jitney or a horse cart and have the driver take you to a local place like Neri's or Anna's Lunchbox for lunch. Sites to see, the museums, the Cultural Center in the old Governors Mansion, the Anglican church across the street, the farmers market. With lunch that'll all probably take 2-3 hours, depending on how long you linger at each stop. And remember, the 5PM time is the departure time. Last tender time is typically an hour before, depending on how far out you're anchored. And these times are ship times. I don't know if Princess changes ship time to port time, but if so there will be a difference. Most likely ship time from the East Coast US will 1-2 hours earlier than local depending on the time of year you are there. Belize does not observe daylight savings time.
