What is progressive trivia on RC ships?

Question from a newbie - I've heard many ppl refer to enjoying progressive trivia. Can anyone explain what this is???

Trivia once a day, with the same people (max of 6) on a team, held multiple days. Daily scores are cumulative, and the best cumulative score wins.

It is a series of trivia sessions where permanent teams accumulate or add up each sessions score or points. At the end of the series, which are typically held on a number of seadays as are on TA, Hawaii, repositioning or other cruises that have a number of these in a row, the high scoring team is the grand winner.

Those that know - you might want to say what the prize usually is - I am not sure but often trivia prizes are keyrings & bragging rights? We have only done the one-of type of trivia. It is more about the fun than anything else.

Our experience has been that the prizes for progressive trivia are better than regular trivia. We've seen the winners get multiple prizes, such as metal insulated drinking cups, caps, t-shirts, champagne, etc.

Hal does same thing, I think they just want to cut back on the little prizes they give out, I preferred the old trivia

It is the list of little things that RCL doesn't do anymore. It is played everyday on each ship

My last 2 cruises have had progressive trivia.
