Onboard credit - slot machines?

I've never had onboard credit when I didn't use it to cover the bar tab.
This upcoming cruise, I've got the Cheers program paid for already.

I've used my card in slot machines, and added cash to my casino account, and then charged to my onboard account, credit card.
Can I use onboard credit this way? Or are there any restrictions to using the credit?

I am guessing yes, but I'd like a definite answer before I board :)

Yes you can but be sure to play at least once on the slot or your account can get locked. Too many people have been using the slot machines as an ATM.

(I once uploaded money to my card, then my husband said we were leaving, so didn't play. The next day I went to cash it out to play roulette, and I got a stern talking to... Oops.)
