Meet & Mingle Registration Issues?

Recommended Posts

Anyone ever had problems registering for the meet and mingle? I have always been able to register in the past. This time, I booked with a travel agent in a group booking. When I go to type in my last name, booking number, ship and sail date, I get an error. It says "only purchased reservations can register."

I've checked with Royal and they do have my booking and it is also showing up under My Cruises on the Royal Caribbean website as purchased. Has this happened to anyone else? If so, how did you fix the error?

I actually had that same issue a few years ago. Your TA will need to call Royal and have your status changed to "booked". It's possible it is part of a group booking your TA has. Once it's changed to booked, you should be able to register for the Meet and Mingle.

If you are booked through a group, you will need to contact your TA to ask for your individual booking #. The reason it won't come up, is because your in a group booking #.

If the OP's booking is showing up in their "My Cruises", I would think that would require their individual booking number.

Bob, friend of ours booking was showing even though he was under a group booking, reason I thought of that possibility. I tried to link them to our dining but wasn't able to, so they showed up with us and we still ate together. We don't do 7 day cruises so wasn't aware of the M&M not set up for cruises less then 7 days.

I understand. Also, group bookings cannot be linked with anyone outside the group.

Bob, we worked it out our last cruise even though I reserved 4 at our table, the two other couples met us at the dining room and I told the head waiter there would be two additional couples and we were taken to our table. I further requested a different table after dinner, so every night, there were 8 of us total with the same wait staff

The first meet & mingle was cute, fun, etc. After that, they become less important....enjoy your cruise, I've even seen people worry about not getting meet & mingle door signs, yes, door signs for cryin' out loud....we'll be too busy enjoying ourselves, but meeting the roll call people is fun.

One funny thing though. At our first meet and mingle, there was an Hors d'oeuvre tray. Expecting a blackberry, it was caviar.....
