How to get from Tony's in Mismaloya via bus to Casa Isabel in Puerto Vallarta?

We will be eating lunch at Tony's in Mismaloya in two weeks and will arrive by cab from our cruise terminal, but need specific directions on how to get from Tony's to Casa Isabel in PV by bus. Thanks...

You cannot reasonably do this on a bus, unless you want to take long uphill (steep) climb. Our advice would be to get a taxi from Tony's to Casa Isabel.

Thank you for your advice. We really want to experience riding the local bus as well. Could you advise how to take a bus from Tony's to the depot near the hospital in PV? We have been to PV a few times prior. Thanks!

The bus from mismaloya to Vallarta stops more or less at the bottom of the hill on which Casa Isabel is. You will see a Pemex gasstation at the left side of the road, just before the traffic light.

But then you will need to climb a steep hill, shared with cars speeding up the hill.

so better take a cab from near Pemex to avoid this unless you are in top condition.

There are lots of taxis near the Pemex and it will only cost 40 pesos to go up to Casa Isabel (ask the driver how much before entering the taxi). You will probably pay about 20 pesos for two for the bus so you will save a few pesos by doing bus/taxi combo. I am guessing taxi would cost at least 100 pesos from Mismaloya to Casa Isabel.

 

AS others have stated it is a steep 4 to 5 block climb from the highway up to Casa Isabel. There are great views from up there.
