Clarea Posted January 8, 2016 #26 Share Posted January 8, 2016 ... The power outlets are US fittings. You will need a US or universal power adapter for your plug in devices.... In addition to the US outlets, we had one Euro outlet in our stateroom.
wolfatlga Posted January 8, 2016 #27 Share Posted January 8, 2016 Greetings, I was not sure what a power board is? We bring a small fan and a short extension cord. Would that be OK? Thanks, Roy
J_T_ Posted January 9, 2016 Author #28 Share Posted January 9, 2016 Hello Diane and Roy, Mattress - We had the usual two single beds pushed together with a topper of some sort. We both found them to be very comfortable. There were nine people in our group and everyone agreed that each of us had a comfortable bed. I usually take a small travel pillow, however the pillows were okay. We seemed to have one firm and one soft pillow each. A powerboard is the thing you buy from a hardware. It has a cord with a plug at one end and an array of sockets at the other, thereby allowing for an extra four electrical items to be plugged into the power source; similar to a double adapter but for four plugs instead of two. Yes a small fan should be fine as long as you have a device that can match it to the US or European socket. As mentioned in a previous post, there was also a European power socket. T's brother brought a fan also, but no extension cord. I doubt it would be a problem but perhaps keep the cord in your carry on luggage, because if security have to go through your suitcase you may have to rock up to deck 1 to claim your suitcase back. Hope this helps, Jen

J_T_ Posted January 15, 2016 Author #31 Share Posted January 15, 2016 Hi Tia, I know what it's like. We too were scouring the net for useful information and images. Half the fun is in the anticipation. I did put up a few images with this review but they only appear quite small using the regular upload feature so I shall put some bigger ones up and link to them for you. That way you'll have the latest images of the ship as it is now. :) Back soon. Best regards, J

J_T_ Posted February 2, 2016 Author #35 Share Posted February 2, 2016 Wow, December 2014! You'd think they might have fixed it by now. Fortunately the dodgy pixels are around the edge so not so bad. Here are some more pics. Enjoy :p
Powersboyee2 Posted February 3, 2016 #36 Share Posted February 3, 2016 Not quite sure I would classify her as one of RCCL's "better" ships by any means, but I'm sure glad you all seem to be enjoying her over there down under!

Clarea Posted February 4, 2016 #38 Share Posted February 4, 2016 Hi, Thanks for the great review very helpful. Can you Please tell me do I need American Dollars on board, its our second cruise but I cant remember if we had them last time or not. I don't really want to go and buy them and them not use them. Thanks Mandy & Steve All charges on board are in USD, but you don't need cash except in the casino. If you use a credit card to secure your onboard account, then the credit card company or Royal (your choice) will do the currency conversion. J_T_ Posted February 14, 2016 Author #43 Share Posted February 14, 2016 Is there anything we should know about boarding from Brisbane? Hi Tazaria, Boarding pointers Here are a few pointers - you CAN take two bottles of wine on board with you. You are not permitted to take power boards or double adaptors but do remember to take adaptors for US or EU outlets for your camera/phone chargers. Apart from that it was a very easy and simple procedure to board. Enjoy your trip!
