Suggestions for hiking tours

I've read about people doing rainforest/volcano hikes (and that a guide is necessary) in St. Kitts, does anybody have any budget-friendly suggestions? We're both in our 20's and very physically active so how strenuous it is isn't an issue.

But you should be cautious and hire a guide if you want to do something more or the longer hikes here. Easy to get lost in the rain forest and trails aren't clearly marked or kept in good shape.

I would recommend O'Neil.

 

You may need to do a bit of digging trying to find his contact info, but I have heard great things about him, and had a chance meeting with him when I was in port a few months back

We're booked for the Mount Liamuiga hike with Poinciana Tours early next month.... I've read good reviews and they supply hiking sticks, which I'm hoping will help! Apparently it can be pretty slippery.

Thanks! I'll watch the video....eeek, hope I can handle this hike! I'm reasonably fit and used to hiking, but the slippery-ness and my footing worries me.

 

We're doing it on February 4. Looks like we'll miss you by a day.

Good choice! We did Javin's tour in October and it was our best tour of the week. They took tons of pictures throughout the day and put them up on their website so that we could download them after at no charge! Got a lot of great pics to add to the ones we took!
