We will arrive on Celebrity Millennium and would like to know the best way to get from the Kai Tak Cruise Terminal to the Renaissance Hotel on Hong Kong Island. If taxi is the best alternative, does anyone know an approximate cost? Thanks for any input.

Best way will be by taxi since public transport options are limited. You can find an estimated fare at taxifarefinder dot com and you will also have to pay the driver back for the tunnel toll.

Yes, take a taxi. Cabs in Hong Kong are reasonably priced. But some of their drivers can't speak English so it would be good if you have the name and address of the hotel.

When we stayed in Hong Kong, we were advised to ask the hotel concierge to write the name of the hotel down in Chinese, so a taxi driver would be able to read it if they did not speak English and to keep it with us at all times when out of the hotel, in case we needed to get a taxi back. The public transport system is very good and you hotel concierge will likely be able to advise you on that, but will not be easy to use with luggage. We found people very helpful.
