Brooklyn Terminal--Hotel? Shuttle?

Looking to come in a day before. Leaving out of Brooklyn in Oct. What is the best way to get to the hotel and then the cruise port the next day? Not looking to use mass/public transportation. Shuttle is what I am aiming for. Any suggestions where to stay? Is LaGuardia or JFK my best bet?

Only one hotel offers a shuttle - Comfort Inn Brooklyn Cruise Terminal. Here's a site that identifies hotels near the cruise terminal - http://hotelguides.com/new-york/brooklyn-ny-nyc-cruise-port-hotels.html

What airport are you flying into? We don't recommend hotels at JFK. The usual advice is to book a car service like Dial 7 or Carmellimo to secure a predetermined price.

What is your hotel budget?

Do you want to do anything in NYC? Look at this site, put in your date, and see what appeals. http://www.hotels.com/de1767570/hotels-near-brooklyn-cruise-terminal-brooklyn-united-states-of-america/

There are several hotels in downtown Manhattan that fit your budget for your date. This would give you options to explore the Wall St area including the 911 memorial or go more easily to midtown. I hate to see you pick a hotel just because it's close to the Brooklyn Cruise terminal because the chances are you might not feel comfortable in the neighborhood.
