snorkeling-- Falmouth, Grand Cay or Cozumel

Where will we find the best snorkeling? Either by boat or land?

 

I am also going to post this in the Grand Cayman and Cozumel sections. Looking for any info I can get.

Don't know about Grand Cay but definitely Cozumel over Falmouth in my research. Leaving tomorrow! Have booked a 4 reef tour at Cozumel.

Grand Cayman would by our choice over Cozumel & Falmouth. :)

We would do Grand Cayman first.....short walk to off shore snorkeling and also short walk to off the coast over sunken ship reef tour....awesome.

 

And twice we linked it to the stingray excursion which snorkeling out in the bay was awesome.

 

Second choice is Cozumel.

It seems all the options are a short bus ride away, and take 3-4 hours and not all that time is the excursion.......a lot of down time, waiting for others.

First choice would be shore snorkeling from Sunset House in Grand Cayman. Or doing an excursion that includes snorkeling and the rays. Loved our tour with Stingray Sailing.

 

2nd choice would be Chankanaab in Cozumel.

Thanks everyone. Looks like Grand Cay is the clear winner! Now to decide/research if we should take a tour boat out or simply go from shore.

PS- we LOVE catamaran sailing!

Who did you book with in Cozumel and how was it??

We went with H20. Crew was great but what we saw was so so. But probably because it rained for 2 days before we went. Visibility was less than ideal. I am sure it would be much better on a sunny and non storm day. Would not hesitate to recommend them. Loes (pronounced like Luz) is very responsible via email.
