First night specialty dining special?

Hey cruising hive,

 

On Freedom and Allure they offered OBC if you booked a specialty restaurant on the first night. Does anyone know if that is offered on the 3 night Enchantment cruises? Not sure because there's only one specialty restaurant (CHOPS) - but you never know.

Have I found a question that Bob doesn't know? Is he okay? We're puzzled. :)

 

Just wondering if anyone has been off the Enchantment lately and seen or heard of any such thing. Deciding whether to pre-book Chops for our 2/26 cruise or to wait until on board.

Bob must be on a cruise. We have never been offered OBC on Enchantment but often times it is 20% off the first night when we booked on board.

I received an email with the following.

SPECIALTY DINING PACKAGE OASIS & QUANTUM CLASS OTHER SHIPS

3 Restaurants $80 $70

 

4 Restaurants $95 $85

 

5 Restaurants $110 $100

 

I called Customer Services who turned me over to a Cruise Planner and asked if I could buy the 4 Restaurants package and use it as 2 meals for 2 people. They said NO. You must buy for each individual/passenger.

Don't understand as what is the difference if I want to use only 2 for DH and DW?

Anyone have any experience with this? Thanks!

The difference is that they want you to pay full price for 2 restaurants. Simple economics for them. According to the email, they are not giving a price break for 2 meals and don't want to. They might when you get on the ship though depending on what their numbers are looking like then. There are lots of people stationed all over selling meal packages, drink packages, spa packages, whatever. Just start talking to them. I have never done any special things except the royal replenish, so I don't know whether it is going to do you any good, but worth a try.

Thanks! :) I thought we were offered OBC on the Freedom in October - but it might have been 20% off. We weren't planning on eating at Chops because of bad experiences on Freedom, but people seem to say that it's GREAT on Enchantment, so we'll give it a try.

 

I was just shocked when Bob didn't answer at all! Hope he's having a great time!!

 

To asctony - I have heard that the dining package - like the drink package could not be shared. I'm not entirely sure of their reasoning. :( But we loved Giovanni's on Allure and eventually on Freedom - so it's worth trying. Hope you have a great cruise!
