Carnival Breeze - Food Allergies

So sadly I have a food allergy and I'm wondering if anyone has traveled on the Breeze with a peanut allergy.

Last year, I went onto Oasis of the Seas and my food options were extremely limited. I wasn't allowed to eat at any buffet and most of the sandwich type shops. Additionally, the MDR menu would be cut by 2/3 because anything brought onto the boat pre-made was refused to me.

Any help/insight would be great!!

We cruised with my daughter on the Inspiration. At the time she had many food allergies(happily she has outgrown most of them) and they were awesome in finding food for her to eat. Buffets might be hard because you always run the risk of cross contamination, but you should have no issues in the MDR.

DD has peanut and tree nut allergies. Never had a problem on Carnival. Very few things could not be prepared peanut or nut free.

At embark we go to the MDR and pre order her first night's meal. At dinner either your waiter or hostess will take your order for the next day's MDR meals-breakfast, brunch, dinner. If you're doing ATD the hostess will give your order slip to the waiter. Carnival classifies seeds as nuts so you'll only get plain rolls.

The buffet is always a minefield. Take with the Lido Chef (or Hostess, if on duty). The line cooks don't always know the ingredients. The dessert area is particularly dangerous for those with nut allergies. Things are marked but there's always the possibility of cross contamination. In our experience i can think of only a few items to avoid- walnut soup dumplings, many of the cakes (cross contamination), the Mongolian Wok. Never too sure about the sauces used at The Mongolian Wok, the woks are swished clean after each bowl and the covers never are between servings.

On shore is a little trickier. You can make up allergy cards or order them online. selectwisely.com is one such website.

As you know many pre-prepared items are done up in facilities that also process peanuts and tree nuts. That's probably what you ran into on the Oasis.
