Currency conversion on ship ??

We will take NCl Spirit to the Caribbean next week and I have a question.

 

If we wind up with local currency (Jamaica or Grand Caymen for example), can we convert back to USD aboard ship? Or use it in the casino?

Leave it in the casino. They should exchange for US at the casinos for you. Most shopping uses US dollars. Take small bills if you are shopping, no hundreds. Tens and twentys work fine.

Most port merchants automatically return change in US currency. However, if in doubt just ask for US.

When you request cash at the casino, what denomination will they give you? Large bills? Small?
