Drink Package?

No you can do different drinks packages or only one and the other has none. On my upcoming cruise we have a different package for each of us all in the same room, so 3 different packages! If you do it through the website you can select the guest and it will only apply to that guest.

Originally when the drink package was introduced everyone in the cabin had to purchase it if one person did.

That is no longer the case.

So if a couple shares a cabin, what is there to keep them from only ordering one drink package for the week and sharing it?

When ordering a drink the scan your SeaPass card, your picture is on the card.

If you make it a habit they will notice. We did Oasis and a few times I forgot my DW card. I just told the bar tender I forgot and he gave me two drinks. There is suppose to be a waiting period between drinks on the same card, but somehow he overrode it.

I guess if you want to hang around and wait for the time to elapse and get two drinks you could.

Personally, if you want to rip off the system maybe you shouldn't be spending money on vacation.

Plus, I like the fact that RCCL allows only one pax to get the package vs Carnival that makes everybody get it.

DW doesn't drink as much as I do (no apologue) so it makes sense for me to get it and her not.

I hate to think if people abuse the system they will make everybody get it.
