Trump International Beach Resort

My sister, her two young kids ( 8 and 10) and I are going to stay at Trump International Beach Resort in Sunny Isle for three days pre cruise. Since we are going on a cruise during winter break the prices for the hotels which are on the beach in Fort Lauderdale are a really up there due to the time of year. I have stayed in Fort Lauderdale and know the area pretty well. Decided to venture out and try something new.

 

Can anybody recommend restaurants which are kid friendly from breakfast, lunch and dinner in Suny Isles? Has anybody stayed at Trump International Beach Resort lately?

 

I tried to search and only found one thread which was within the last 6 months. I might not have searched properly maybe? I know most people stay closer to the port but it is not going to work out this time for us.

Just want to say that the Trump loses its sun very early in the afternoon due to the height of the building.
