mvh Posted January 14, 2016 #1 Share Posted January 14, 2016 Can anyone confirm or deny that you can start booking comedy shows with the iconcierge app as soon as you log on in the waiting terminal? Also, what about moving dinner times? Has anyone actually done this?
ilovetotravel1977 Posted January 14, 2016 #2 Share Posted January 14, 2016 As soon as we boarded last year on the Epic, we booked all of our shows while waiting for our room to be ready. Not sure about in the terminal though.
GroundHog1961 Posted January 14, 2016 #3 Share Posted January 14, 2016 Book quickly, we went to the 7:00 show on embarkation day. After the show we tried to book an 11:00 pm show and they were all booked up for the week. This is one of my major issues with NCL, nothing stops people from booking up the shows. ilovetotravel1977 Posted January 14, 2016 #4 Share Posted January 14, 2016 You can always go in the stand-by line if you don't have reservations. There will always be no-shows for the free stuff.
mvh Posted January 14, 2016 Author #5 Share Posted January 14, 2016 I understand you want to book as soon as you get on board, but my question was, can I do it before I get on board? I have heard you can log on to iconcierge while you are waiting in the boarding terminal. If this is the case, can you book the comedy clubs with the app before you board? travelinmoma Posted January 14, 2016 #6 Share Posted January 14, 2016 Good question! I would like to know as well. Is the IConceierge app the one that also lets you communicate with people on the ship?
ilovetotravel1977 Posted January 14, 2016 #7 Share Posted January 14, 2016 Yes, it is; however, to communicate on the ship, you need to purchase the "plan" for $7.95 per person.
TheDougOut Posted January 14, 2016 #8 Share Posted January 14, 2016 Not sure if my experience was the norm... but I attempted to do this while waiting to board the BA last August. I wasn't able to, as I was getting some message indicating a room conflict or something similar. Apparently the ship and/or the iConcierge app hadn't rolled over to our sailing yet. Rare BirdTravels Posted January 15, 2016 #9 Share Posted January 15, 2016 If you can not pre-book the comedy show, book it once you get on the ship. The easiest way to book shows, shoreex, dinners, is to use the touch screens in all of the public areas. iConcierge will work, but is kinda clunky (as is the in-room TV reservations). You can book one comedy show. Then stand-by for others. We try to go every night they the comedy show plays. Early shows are family oriented. Late night shows are adults only. I've never heard of this. On our last 2 cruises, we booked and attended more than 1 comedy show. Many people do, since the cruises have more than 1 comedian. ilovetotravel1977 Posted January 23, 2016 #13 Share Posted January 23, 2016 When we were on the Epic, we were also only able to "book" one comedy show, however, we stood in the standby line and saw all three (7, 9, 11pm shows). We booked the 11pm one as that is the hardest one to get into and they only had a couple of the late ones on our sailing.
LrgPizza Posted January 24, 2016 #14 Share Posted January 24, 2016 When did you book the shows? Did you use the onboard screens?Thank you! No, we just went to the box office during hours it was open and booked. One we pre-booked online. I believe that was for our Getaway cruise in 2014. Haven't seen many prebookable comedy shows lately.
